Itinerary Details

Day 0: Barcelona, Spain
As the capital of Catalonia, Barcelona boasts a rich history dating back to its Phoenician origins. Once a major Mediterranean trade hub, it has long rivaled Madrid in industry and commerce. Wander through the medieval streets of the Gothic Quarter, admire the architectural wonders of Antoni Gaudí, and explore the legacies of artistic greats like Picasso, Miró, and Dalí. The city’s vibrant cultural scene and stunning boulevards make it one of Europe’s most captivating destinations.

Day 1: Tarragona, Spain
Founded around the 5th century BCE, Tarragona flourished under Roman rule, leaving behind an impressive array of UNESCO-listed ruins. Highlights include the Las Ferreres Aqueduct, the grand amphitheater, the Roman circus, and the Tower of the Scipios. Stroll through the city’s history museums and medieval cathedral, then indulge in fresh seafood along the scenic Costa Daurada beaches.

Day 2: Mahón, Menorca, Spain
The capital of Menorca stands apart from its Balearic neighbors with its abundance of prehistoric structures and British-influenced culture. Founded by the Carthaginian General Mago, Mahón was shaped by Moorish, French, and English rule before becoming part of Spain in 1802. Discover ancient stone formations, charming harbours, and a fascinating blend of architectural styles.

Day 3: At Sea
Enjoy a relaxing day at sea, taking in the open waters and onboard amenities as you sail toward your next destination.

Day 4: Cagliari, Sardinia, Italy
The capital of Sardinia offers a tranquil escape with its rolling green landscapes and historic charm. Cagliari’s elegant Italianate architecture and diverse churches reflect centuries of cultural influences. For panoramic views, head to Terrazzo Umberto atop the city’s ancient walls. The island’s untouched beauty has attracted visitors for decades, particularly along the famed Costa Smeralda.

Day 5: Bonifacio, Corsica, France
Corsica, the birthplace of Napoleon Bonaparte, captivates with its rugged mountains, dramatic cliffs, and wild landscapes. Bonifacio’s medieval citadel perches atop white limestone cliffs, offering spectacular views. Explore the legendary Staircase of the King of Aragon, wander through cobbled streets filled with local charm, or seek out hidden coves once frequented by pirates.

Day 6: Portoferraio, Elba, Italy
Despite its small size, Elba holds a significant place in history, from its Greek and Roman past to its brief rule under Napoleon in 1814. The island’s iron-rich mountains, lush landscapes, and Mediterranean coastline make it a paradise for nature lovers. Portoferraio, the island’s largest town, is rich in charm and history, offering a quiet retreat with timeless beauty.

Day 7: Portovenere, Italy
This picturesque coastal town boasts colourful cliffside homes dating back to the 12th century. Visit the citadel, explore Lord Byron’s grotto, or climb to St. Peter’s Church for breathtaking views of the nearby Cinque Terre villages.

Day 8: Cannes, France
Originally founded by the Ligurians and later occupied by the Romans, Cannes transformed into a glamorous destination in the 19th century. Today, it is best known for its prestigious film festival, attracting global celebrities every May. Stroll along the sun-drenched promenades, explore luxury boutiques, and soak in the city’s Riviera charm.

Day 9: La Ciotat, France
Located between Marseille and Toulon, La Ciotat played a pioneering role in cinema history, as the Lumière Brothers filmed one of the first-ever motion pictures here in 1895. The town is also home to the invention of pétanque, the classic Riviera game. Its charming harbour, historic sites, and vibrant cultural scene make it a hidden gem along the Côte d’Azur.

Day 10: Monte Carlo, Monaco
Synonymous with luxury and elegance, the Principality of Monaco is a dazzling retreat on the Riviera. Monte Carlo’s world-famous casino, glamorous yachts, and stunning coastal views make it an unforgettable finale to your journey. Explore the royal heritage of Monaco-Ville, the bustling business district of La Condamine, and the modern developments of Fontvieille before bidding farewell to this Mediterranean paradise.
